Hyderabad : Sashank Vinnakota won U-16 chess and Sian Virani won U-16 Scrabble titles in the first Dairy Day-SLAN ‘Mind Games Championship 2019’ held in Hyderabad.
SLAN (Local sports network), the first sport engagement platform of its kind in the world of sports for children, amateurs and non-professionals, is hosting India’s largest “Mind Games Championship” for children. And as part of the event, the chess and scrabble tournament will take place in the Under 9, Under 12 and Under 16 categories. Dairy Day Ice Creams, one of the leading brands in South India, is the title sponsor of the first edition of the SLAN Mind Games Championship.
The five-weekend championship will take place in Hyderabad (July 7), Chennai (July 21), Bangalore (July 28) and Vijayawada (August 4). And the winners from each city will travel to Hyderabad to play the final on August 11.
